Warm and hazy with mirage distortions, did not affect our concentration on the whales. There were lots and lots. We could not keep up on the Count board. We found the total on the datasheet.

Three species of dolphins were all over the place and with sea lions with the whales on several occasions.

Yesterday we had no large groups. Today, we sighted a group of five northbound Gray whales (four of which posed for the camera guy); and, we Counted a group of four and three groups of three. The rest of the seventeen sightings were ones and twos.

This is crazy. We do not expect these numbers until — maybe — the fourth week in March. This is March Madness. (I apologize, but it is.)
