Sometimes it is hard to find the calf when it is right in front of you. In the above image, the calf is close and alongside mom, yet can be overlooked.

We found four calves, including this one, today. In addition to these four Cow/calf pairs, there was a pair of Gray whales in which neither was a calf; and, we saw a single making its way north.

Pacific White-sided dolphins leaped from west to east, while Bottlenose dolphins cruised west through the waves with two dolphin calves.

And, we found a Harbor seal.
