The camera guy left us an enigma. All we know is that the sighting was listed as two Cow/calf pairs of northbound Gray whales just outside the kelp off Counter Point in the Santa Barbara Channel. What is depicted is not entirely clear. We welcome suggestions.

In addition to the above, we saw six more Cow/calf pairs in a decidedly different mode from yesterday. We think the moms wanted to just get this show on the road, and off they went.

We have to say that we much prefer slow and easy, but we appreciate whatever works, even what is going on in the enigma image.
