With the calf recently refreshed and showing off a milk-stained head, the pair surfaces inside the kelp, very close to Counter Point.

Our second pair brought our raw-data total even with last year’s total, and we have several days left in our survey schedule.

We saw five Harbor seals, all resting in the Isla Vista kelp. This is our highest total of unique individuals in a day for this survey.
