Gray Whales Count
Gray Whales Count
Day 74
Friday, May 1, 2015
We think tomorrow is going to be a huge whale day. That is the rhythm we are feeling. Today, the three pairs were well spaced at 10:30; 1:30; and 3:00.
We had ample time to admire the Gray whale Cow/calf pairs and stunning, surfing Bottlenose dolphins and one of our year’s biggest group of Common dolphins heading east in a very long parade line.
We saw Humpback whales in the morning; and, in the late afternoon, we saw an almost endless cycle of breaches at the eastern horizon.
And, one of our resident Harbor seals was in the intertidal zone.
