Gray Whales Count

Blog Day 09 2019

Thursday, February 21

We welcomed the CameraGuy back to Counter Point with a panoply of foamy whitecaps. Before the wind closed us out, we saw two northbound gray whales (spread apart a bit) just the other side of the kelp.

Our other marine mammal sightings were three groups of bottlenose dolphins, all heading west, and a lone harbor seal, very close to shore.
