Gray Whales Count

Blog Day 40 2019

Sunday, March 24

While Welcome Back was enjoying his morning nap, wrapped in kelp in his spot, ‘Nuther Otter was finishing his lobster breakfast under the watchful eye of a gull. Two otters. Perhaps we have begun a trend ...

On to other news: We counted 19 whales today; 29 yesterday, and 39 Friday. Looks like a trend ...

Maybe.

I think we might catch more than nine northbound gray whales tomorrow, but we are likely on the downward slope of the general migration. Sometime soon, we will start the Mother/calf migration. Looking forward to it.
